This example can be found on page 240 Volume 1 of The Kriegsmarine Uniforms and Traditions by John R. Angolia and Adolf Schlicht. This is a Distinctive Group Insignia worn by NCO's on the left breast of jackets of athletic suits and on the left side of sports trunks. Machine embroidered woven insignia that is in excellent condition. Measures just over 4 inches X 4 inches. This is a very tough insignia to find. I just purchased a grouping that had 5 of them. NICE!!!!
