Ultra nice example of the Luftwaffe Pilots Badge in Bullion. This pattern is considered the Type 4 and is hand bullion embroidered over a blue / grey ribbed wool backing. The bullion thread on this piece is near perfect with no pulls or songs and no sign of oxidation. The back has a black covering of the same material you would see on the padded cloth badges. Really a very fine example that shows the detail of the Acorns and the berries along the wreath. EXCELLENT!!!!
