Super nice grouping that belonged to Private H. Lynn Johnson Company D 6th Regiment, 5th Division. This grouping includes his Wool Tunic, Trousers, Campaign Hat, sidecap, leggings, postcards and Company Photograph. The tunic is in amazing condition being made of heavy wool with no real issues. The insignia on the sleeve is outstanding remaining bright in color. The bullion service stripes look great. Also included is his wool trousers that do show minor wear and have is name in the back of the waistband. The campaign hat looks awesome and shows only minor wear to the band. There is a super photo with him wearing this exact cap!! Also included is his sidecap that is in great shape and his rolled leggings. The steel helmet is textured in a very course sand finish and looks great. The original liner is loose but mostly all still there. The original Company Photograph is in excellent condition and measures 8" X 36". This photo was taken at Camp Hancock near Augusta, GA 1918. There are also five nice postcards included with this group. Photo Postcard of Private Johnson sent to his parents back home. Interior of the barracks Camp Lee, VA with a personal note prior to his AEF service. An awesome photo card of a baseball game in Luxemburg with Johnson in the picture, This is a super nice piece of history from 100 years ago!!Amazing!!!
