Rank flag for Kriegsmarine Konteradmiral. This was used on vehicles to denote the presence of a Rear Admiral. Very heavy duty construction with double panels. Tatzenkreuz is a separately applied piece of material with the frames in heavy chain stitched rayon thread. The two black circles on each side are all chain stitched as well. The white flag body appears to be an artificial silk while the edge material is heavy cotton or canvas. There is a metal rod that runs inside the edging with spring clips on each end. The outer corners of the flag are heavily reinforced. This one measures 23CM X 21.5CM. Excellent condition!!
