This is really just an amazing piece of history. It measures 20" X 14" and is a tapestry or banner of some sort. Very early piece that was all hand embroidered very much in the same style that you see on the Imperial Veterans Banners. The embroidery is done over a white linen that shows a few soil areas. The material is still very sound and sturdy with no holes and an uneven cut upper edge. The embroidery is amazing with different levels of stitching to create a 3D like effect. Crossed banners with the eagle perched on the Stahhelm in the center. Oak leaves and acorns adorn both sides of the flags. The colors are still very vibrant and the attention to detail within the leaves themselves is just amazing. This is a very heavy embroidered piece and the perfect size to make a great display. I've never seen another like it. Awesome!!!
