Ultra nice late war laminated Belt and Buckle Set. Very last ditch layered, laminated belt in fine condition. There is a faint size stamp of 95 at the buckle end. These belts were designed with materials they had to work with and constructed like the mid war belts. There is a leather size adjustment tongue that is double stitched to the belt. The material used is course with a rubber-like outer layer with pressed materials on the inside. The inner layer is a type of textured waterproof material. There is a small area on the underside of the belt where the lamination is separating. This gives you a great look at how these were put together. The hook attached to the end is just like the early paramilitary belts and is made of steel. I suspect these were made for the old men and little boys called to action at the end. The buckle is an absolute stunner being the dark Blue / Grey painted Steel. The painted finish is nearly perfect with the buckle showing no wear at all. This is a JFS made buckle and is maker stamped by the catch. No doubt this set was never used and remains an amazing example!! RARE!!!
